We have endevoured to engineer this site in such a way as to minimize these issues, but they may not be 100% successful.

As it currently stands, nearly all the content created on this site, including event dates, venue locations, and the like, is generated by music fans like you. Generally speaking, the venues, promoters, and bands do not even know this site exists. As such, it is highly recommended that you double check an event with a more reliable source (newspaper, band or venue website), before trusting that it will actually occur. This all may change in the not-to-distant future as we recruit bands and venues to join the site's ranks. At that point, events will be clearly marked as "confirmed" or not.

Last and certainly not least: This site is intended for users aged 18 and over in the U.S., and at whatever age one reaches their majority internationally. This makes sense on a number of levels, since in the U.S. you generally can't get into one of these shows unless you're 18, and you're not trusted to be able to handle the potential obscenity of your fellow community members untill then either.
